Median home prices in the region usually range from $500K to $700K. At the same time, high-end vineyard properties can still cross the $1.5M+ mark depending on location.

Another plus is proximity. You’re about an hour from Portland. So, you get access to a major city without dealing with it every day.


5. St Davids, Niagara


St. Davids, Niagara-on-the-Lake region is part of the larger Niagara Peninsula. This is home to more than 100 wineries and produces a major share of Canada’s premium wines, especially icewine. That gives the area a strong reputation without the heavy crowds you’d see in more commercial wine regions.

In terms of real estate, St. David's housing leans toward boutique luxury. You’ll find custom-built homes, vineyard estates, and modern properties designed to take full advantage of the surrounding views.

Median home prices in Niagara-on-the-Lake are often around CAD $900K to $1.2M, with luxury homes easily going beyond that.

If you live here, you’re about 1.5 hours from Toronto. That makes travel and business access pretty convenient while still enjoying a peaceful, small-town setting.
